The SESAR Joint Undertaking has published its 2024 Consolidated Annual Activity Report, taking stock of a year marked by fresh momentum in delivering the Digital European Sky.

Highlights from the year include the adoption of the 2025 edition of the European ATM Master Plan, the strategic ramp-up of SESAR’s innovation pipeline, and the continued growth of the partnership. In total, the SESAR JU oversaw some 78 research and innovation projects, aimed at boosting the performance, sustainability and resilience of European air traffic management.

Reflecting on the year’s progress, Andreas Boschen, Executive Director of the SESAR 3 JU, said:

“Modernising ATM is no longer a choice – it is a necessity. The scale of the challenge is significant, but so is the opportunity. 2024 was not a new beginning, but a pivotal year to reflect, align and act.”
