Tour 8: U-space - building safe and trusted drone operations
As drone operations expand across Europe, ensuring safety, risk management and operational confidence is essential. This walking tour explores how SESAR research and demonstrations are developing the tools, procedures and operational frameworks needed to safely integrate drones and innovative air mobility services into European airspace.
Participants will discover solutions ranging from large-scale operational demonstrations and advanced U-space services to integrated risk models, vertiport operations and separation management for drones. Through demonstrations, simulations and real validation results, the tour highlights how these innovations are helping to build safe, resilient and scalable drone operations across Europe’s skies.
