DYN-MARS is a EU-funded research project investigating how the introduction of dynamic aircraft management and route structures can support the development of quieter and more efficient aviation procedures. 

Key achievements of the project are:

1) the development of a dynamic vertical profile, allowing for near idle-thrust descents and approaches in complex, non-deterministic environments and

2) the first use-case of CPDLC messaging in the Terminal Manoeuvring Area through EXPECT Route Shortcut messages.
