Call for contributions
The FLY AI Event 2026 will take place on 12–13 November 2026 at the EUROCONTROL Innovation Hub in Brétigny-sur-Orge, France, bringing together researchers, operational experts, regulators and industry leaders to explore how artificial intelligence is delivering real value for aviation and air traffic management (ATM).
This year's event will showcase operational AI applications, share lessons learned from deployment and validation, and discuss the opportunities and challenges of introducing trustworthy AI into the ATM ecosystem. A key feature of the event will be the collaborative update of the FLY AI Report, an important strategic reference for AI adoption in ATM.
SESAR JU projects are invited to contribute by presenting innovative AI solutions, validated use cases and demonstrations across a wide range of topics, including:
- AI for ATM, trajectory management, ATFCM and ATC support
- Airport and airline operations
- Human–AI teaming and decision support
- CNS, AIM, MET, environment and sustainability
- Simulation, training and validation
- Data, infrastructure and enabling technologies
- Trustworthy AI, including safety, regulation, certification and cybersecurity
Contributions may be submitted in one of two formats:
- Plenary presentation (approximately 15 minutes), highlighting operational impact, lessons learned and adoption challenges.
- Live demonstration, presented during the networking sessions, showcasing interactive AI solutions or prototypes.
Proposals should include a short description of the AI application, its benefits and maturity, speaker details, and any technical requirements for demonstrations.
Please note: When submitting your proposal, be sure to clearly identify your initiative as a SESAR JU-funded project (e.g. SESAR XXX project) so that it can be appropriately recognised during the selection process.
Submission deadline: mid-August 2026
