Aviation is entering a period of profound transformation, driven by the need for safer, greener and more efficient air traffic management. Trajectory-based operations (TBO), a key part of the European ATM Master Plan, will enable secure and timely exchange of aircraft trajectories to support collaborative, data-driven decision-making, with early deployments expected by 2035.

JARVIS-CONNECT builds on the results of the JARVIS project to accelerate AI-enabled automation in TBO. The project will mature and integrate digital assistants for pilots and controllers to TRL6, fostering trusted human–machine teaming. Two solutions will be validated: an AI-based digital assistant supporting pilots in complex scenarios, and an intelligent voice-communication system enhancing pilot–air traffic controller exchanges. By the end of the project in 2029, the project aims to have demonstrated scalable, safe and sustainable automation for European aviation.
