The LYCORNE project aims to advance the maturity of future avionic communication systems, building on outcomes from the FCDI project and focusing on high-capacity air traffic management and the L-band digital aeronautical communications system (LDACS). The aim is to deliver solutions covering aircraft communications addressing and reporting system (ACARS), open systems interconnection (OSI), and internet protocol suite (IPS) environments. Activities on LDACS will add ACARS capabilities and further develop digital voice over LDACS, addressing gaps not covered in previous projects and achieving full TRL6 readiness.
