In the last years, new actors have appeared in the airspace, such as drones, which are being used for multiple applications, from agriculture, inspections or surveillance to future uses such as Urban Air Mobility (UAM). With this great growth of airspace users, it is needed the coexistence and the information exchange between manned and unmanned aviation.
The solution is making ATM and U-space integration possible developing a common interface.
For this reason, this solution supports an efficient and safety integration between U-space and ATM systems, by defining and validating the common ATM-U-space interface composed of the integration of different services: U-Plan, tracking, tactical operational message, traffic conformance monitoring, unmanned aerial system (UAS) zones, Collaborative Interface with ATC, emergency management service and contingency plan, strategic conflict resolution service and dynamic airspace reconfiguration service. With this interface, the solution will provide outputs that will help the evolution of the current standards and regulations, allowing the coexistence between all airspace users and encouraging a significant growth of the UAS market and drone applications to benefit the whole society.
